INFO  &  FAQs

musicians jam session around the bonfire everynight drum circles and dancing too

Welcome to the website for Xplore! festival!

Due to some setbacks we have had to delay the planning of this event until 2025, hope to see you next year!
Info about the same intention we have with this event, for summer 2025:

This is not your usual music festival. This is a festival for creatives, artists, conscious event goers, eXplorers… for those looking for new experiences, community, and fun! Families welcome, it is also kid friendly ;)

As much as we (the event creators) love music and attending the occasional music festival, we were inspired to create a different kind of event. One where there was more to do than just drink and dance. Although at our festival there will be lots of dancing too! :)

During the day you will be able to give/attend workshops of your choice…. from more active workshops like acroyoga, and aerial circus arts, dance… to more calming and restorative events like a cacao ceremony, sweat lodge, women's/men's group (also LGBTQIIA friendly)… to musical workshops like acts in progress, jam sessions, mantra singing, and more. What there is to explore depends partially on who attends and what you want to offer! :)

If you choose to give workshops, there is a discount on ticket price. All workshops are free to attend for all those in the festival. No money is needed at this festival... the phone and the wallet stay can stay packed away all week!

All meals are included for the duration of this festival. Every meal will always be vegetarian and with vegan options, and made on site with organic, biological, locally sourced produce (and bread from Bakkerij ‘t Korfje in Hamont). You will not go hungry! You are of course welcome to bring your own food if there are things you just cannot live without, but we do not have a kitchen space available for use (sorry!). We can of course heat water/melk for baby bottles. Gotcha covered Mama ;)

This event will be capped at 100 attendees. The reason for this is that 100 has been tested and found to be the perfect size for a community in regards to being able to experience the group as a tribe, and having the ability to connect with most of the individuals throughout a week. Because of the idea of exploring together, we will also only sell tickets for the entirety of the event. There will be no day tickets sold. Of course you are still able to arrive late or leave early if your plans require (but there will not be reductions in ticket price for this reason, sorry!).

Nothing is better than listening to live music for a week… but at this festival it’s not about bands on stage. It’s about bringing your own instruments, meeting other musicians, taking or giving workshops in music, putting forward works in progress, and if you don’t play, then it’s about listening to and supporting (or inspiring... muses and band aids ;) ) the musicians around us. The same goes for fine artists, singers, dancers, circus artists and acrobats, actors or comedians or improv... all welcome!

This event is for you:
If you want to meet people, try new things, give workshops in anything you love, want to attend workshops, like to dance, sing, play music with other people, be open and accepting of others and can create safe and friendly space for your event co-creators, if you like camping in a quiet and beautiful place and watching beautiful sunsets by a large campfire surrounded by other beautiful people :)

This event is not for you:
If you cannot abide by the rule of no alcohol/drugs during the event, if you cannot be accepting of everyone and help create and maintain a safe space, this event is LGBTQIIA+ friendly, if cannot handle topless nudity for all genders, or do not like to eat in a group. (But yes, occasionally if you need a break we won't scorn you for eating in your tent... we just try to encourage pro-social activity :)

If we haven’t convinced you yet that this will be the best festival to Xplore!... then we should also add that the Maas river is just 2km from the event site so you have access to a public beach whenever you’d like to swim, lay on the beach, or just take a little walk or bike ride from the festival terrain.
(There will not be bikes available to use, but you may bring your own!)

We hope yo see you there!

FAQs

01

Is nudity allowed?

This is not a nudist event, and due to the fact it is a family-friendly event, we ask that you restrict full nudity to the showers and your tent. Toplessness for all genders is allowed. The beach is a public space, and as such toplessness is allowed, this is law in the Netherlands.

03

Can we bring bikes?

Yes! Please bring bikes! The beach is 2 km from the event space! There is plenty of bike parking space.

05

Is there daycare?

No, there is no daycare service. However, if we have enough volunteers we would absolutely like to provide a few kids animation workshops, or if your fellow attendees plan kids workshops, than it can be that they may attend workshops while you attend other workshops, but that is for you to decide. But we take no responsibility for children during the event. The event space is enclosed, and will not be publicly accessible.

07

Are there gluten free Options?

For the most part the food will be gluten free: bread and oats are the main breakfast options but the bread is not gluten free unfortunately. Most meals will be gluten free (i.e. served with rice, potatoes or quinoa for example) but it is likely that that one meal will be served with bulgar. In this case you could have the vegetable dish without the carb that meal. You can always have as much food as you need, portions/servings are not limited so quantity isn’t a concern. If you think that you will need extra carbs, then you are of course free to bring your own food to supplement. Unfortunately we cannot provide kitchen space to prepare food, as our kitchen space is already super tight.

02

Is the no alcohol/drug policy strict?

Yes. No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises. Anyone seen to be visibly intoxicated will be asked to leave the premises. This event is on private land and as such these rules remain.

04

Camper vans allowed?

Yes, but please get in touch with us ahead of time so we can plan for the parking spaces, thank you! There are no hook-ups though, sorry!

06

Are Dogs allowed?

Yes, we love dogs, but listen… if your dog is not trained not to jump up and it jumps up on kids… or if it is fighting and crazy when it sees other dogs… or is barking randomly or during the night… or if you don’t clean up it’s poop… or you leave it tied up to a tree in the sun for a day… we will just ask you to take your dog and leave the festival. No warnings. No refund. That’s it. So… you know your dog. Make the right choice.
No other animals allowed.

08

Are fires permitted?

There are several fire pits... fires are only allowed in these areas. There will be a bonfire each night. Fires at the campsite are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
No candles in the camping area.
